NOTICE UNDER THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT
Nondiscrimination
In accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended (ADA), the Town of Warrensburg will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in the Town's services, programs, activities, or employment practices.

Effective Communication
The Town will, upon request, provide appropriate auxiliary aids and services when necessary to afford qualified individuals with disabilities an equal opportunity to participate in and enjoy the benefits of the Town's programs, services, and activities. Examples may include qualified sign-language interpreters, documents in accessible electronic formats, or other methods of making information and communications accessible.
Reasonable Modifications
The Town will make reasonable modifications to policies and programs when necessary to ensure that individuals with disabilities have an equal opportunity to participate in Town programs, services, and activities. A person who requires an auxiliary aid or service, a reasonable modification, or another accommodation should contact the ADA Coordinator as early as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before a scheduled event. The Town will consider requests made with less notice to the fullest extent practicable.
The ADA does not require the Town to take an action that would fundamentally alter the nature of a program or service or impose an undue financial or administrative burden. The Town will not place a surcharge on a particular individual with a disability or any group of individuals with disabilities to cover the cost of measures required to provide nondiscriminatory treatment, such as auxiliary aids or reasonable modifications.
Complaints
A person who believes that the Town has denied access or discriminated on the basis of disability may submit a complaint to the ADA Coordinator using the contact information above. Complaints should identify the person affected, describe what occurred, state when and where it occurred, and provide contact information. The Town will address complaints promptly and equitably under its applicable procedures. If a complaint concerns the ADA Coordinator, it may be submitted to the Town Clerk at (518) 623-4561 or info@warrensburgny.gov for referral to an impartial reviewer.
