Known as the “Gateway to the Adirondacks”, Warrensburg is a year round community situated on the banks of the Schroon and Hudson Rivers, rich in history, natural resources and beauty.  It is home to several elegant Bed & Breakfasts, antique and specialty shops, and dining establishments, many of which are housed in one of the many historic buildings. Warrensburg also boasts of its well established summer camps and beautiful, private campgrounds. Golfers of all levels will enjoy the 18-hole Cronin's Golf Resort situated on the banks of the Upper Hudson River, nestled amidst the lower Adirondack Mountains. Warrensburg also offers hiking and mountain trails, a public beach, canoe access to the nearby rivers & ponds, winter cross-country ski and snowmobile trails. Bargain hunters from all over flock here the weekend prior to Columbus Day Weekend when Warrensburg is host to the annual World's Largest Garage Sale.

Pack Forest

Pack Forest is a DEC operated summer camp that offers 2,500 acres of forest lands, including an 85-acre lake, countless miles of trails leading to mountain vistas, marshes and the banks of the Hudson River. Guests stay in cabins that can hold 15 to 20 campers. Week long sessions are held from July through August. Come see nature first hand.


Warren County Nature & Cross Country Ski Trails

Located off Golf Course Road – Look for sign & parking area near Cronins Golf Resort.

This area offers hikers and cross country skiers alike a nice and convenient access to the nearby nature trails and access to the crystal-clear Upper Hudson River. Views of Thurman are just across the river...Great for fishing, picnicking and shallow-water wading. Unusual rock formations at river’s edge. Moderate hiking trails.

Warrensburg Boat Launch

Located on Route 418 by the Hydro Dam – Look for sign

Offers canoe, rowboat and kayak access on the south-western portion of Warrensburg onto Schroon River Pond. Many boaters enjoy a leisurely and relaxing time, floating or paddling along this portion of the Schroon River with its picturesque, serene surroundings. A great spot to fish right off your boat!
